Application Process:

There are two applications that you will need to complete if you wish to apply to the graduate program in Kinesiology and if you wish to be considered for a Departmental (DA) or Graduate Assistantship (GA).  The forms for these applications can be downloaded by clicking on the links below.  Complete the forms and send them via regular mail to:

Graduate Assistantships:

The Kinesiology Department offers two levels of support for full-time graduate students:

  • The Departmental Assistantship (DA) provides tuition and a stipend in return for a 20-hour per week work commitment carrying out duties assigned by the department.
  • The Graduate Assistantship (GA) provides a tuition waiver in return for a 10-hour per week commitment.

Duties for both the DA and GA include teaching in the activity program, serving as a TA for major classes, working as a research assistant, and a variety of other activities on and off-campus.

Note:  In addition to the application form for assistantships, we recommend that students submit a copy of their resume showing all their academic and professional activity related to their intended area of study.
