Intramural Funding Programs at TCU
  • Research and Creative Activity Fund (RCAF)
The purpose of the TCU Research and Creative Activities Fund is to provide financial support to enable a faculty member to engage in research or creative activities that will make a significant contribution to the individual's discipline.
  • Instructional Development
Examples of appropriate activities include teaching pedagogies, the incorporation of new technologies into teaching and learning (e.g., multimedia enhancements to reflect new technological capabilities), to develop international content in teaching, and participation in programs for skills or professional enhancement directly related to instruction.  The grants support costs which go beyond funds normally provided by departmental budgets.
  • Faculty Seminar Abroad
The goal of the seminar is to provide faculty members with a structured learning experience in which they gain new knowledge and perspectives about another society.  The new information is to be infused into teaching, scholarly or creative activities and other professional work.  The seminar also provides an opportunity for participants to establish professional contacts in the host society.  Past seminars were evaluated very positively by TCU faculty members.
